A stressful experience. My family and I travelled to Rome on holiday. I’ve just purchased some cigars from this beautiful establishment. I follow Fincato on Instagram for many years and it was a pleasure to finally purchase cigars in this almost 100 year old store. Sadly it seems, their internet banking connection is just as old! I paid via card, their payWave system withdrew my money but they would not allow me to take the cigars! My bank and the payWave system stated “approved” yet they insisted the transaction did not clear from their end. I demonstrated via my online bank account as funds having been removed from their bank and yet I, the customer, was advised to check and return in an hour or the next day in my own time, as they are confident I will get a refund? That’s a lot of faith to have from a customers point of view that I will get a refund despite very clearly my account stating Fincato has my money. I made contact with Fincato via Instagram afterward as I was upset and the owner was very kind and offered to deliver the cigars I purchased to my hotel. Whilst I accepted this kind offer, it overall took away from my experience at this establishment. I highly recommend you visit when in Rome, it smells great as you enter and has so much to look at and purchase. I do however hope, the internet issue and banking is rectified as otherwise, this will cause future problems which I experienced for other customers. Again, thank you Fincato for your service in the end. It concluded positively and for that, I am grateful.
